Francois De Lange
Born in Johannesburg, Victoria, he later moved to the Eastern Cape and eventually to South Africa’s coast. In his younger years, he developed a deep love for music that earned him the nickname “DJ.” He spent time working alongside his father in the upholstery business, recovering seats for cars and planes, and later focused on buying and selling motorbikes and vehicles, redoing interiors, fixing them up, and turning them for a profit. His career path also included work as a professional hunter, serving as an agricultural advisor for the government, and breeding and transporting colorful exotic animals.
This is his first year on the farm, though he has spent the past seven years working in the United States. His role here covers a bit of everything, with a strong focus on harvesting, vehicle repairs, and equipment improvements.
In his free time, he enjoys landarm (aka dancing) and has a big love for music from the 1960s onward. He met the love of his life, Yolndi, and together they have a son, Elandre. Old-school by nature and proud of it, he brings tremendous pride, craftsmanship, and heart to everything he does.
