Farm History

</p>

Berning Farms was established in 1960 by Terry Berning but the rich heritage of the family farm dates all the way back to 1886. This is when Louise Berning’s great grandfather, Fred Mahler, settled in Scott County as a homesteader and began farming some of the land they have today. The farm has since grown significantly and has a team of over 15 individuals devoted to the daily responsibilities of running the operation.
