Terri Berning
Terri was born and raised in Scott City, Kansas. Following her studies at Fort Hays State University, she spent nine years teaching sixth and eighth grade science at the Scott City Middle School. In 2014, Terri’s career path expanded as she began working for Berning Farms full-time. Her responsibilities include paying the bills, payroll, keeping things organized, delivering warm meals to the field during harvest time, and taking care of any other aspects the business may require. Harvesting is one of her favorite activities on the farm, especially wheat harvest, which is fast-paced and keeps her busy.
Terri is married to Jon and are parents to Jorden, Macy, and Jaren, as well as three grandchildren, Hayden, Pearce and Quinn. She considers herself self-sufficient, dedicated, and very systematic when it comes to her approach to life. She enjoys watching documentaries on the Renaissance and Monarchy periods, traveling to their lake home in Trenton, Nebraska, and hopes to visit Greece and Paris one day. She has proven to be a great fit on the farm and enjoys helping out wherever she can.
