Vernon Bekker
Born and raised in Kliprivier, Vereeniging, South Africa, Vernon spent his early childhood there before moving to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. He built a strong foundation in motor mechanics while working alongside his father in the family business, later expanding into boiler making and specialized welding, designing, and fabricating telecommunication antenna mounts and mast components.
This year marks Vernon’s second season as a farm hand, where he’s diving into general maintenance, manure spreading, trucking, equipment operation, and whatever else the day demands.
When he’s off the clock, Vernon enjoys fishing, motorsports, boating, tubing, and water skiing. He is married to his wife, Isabel, and has four children: Bernice, Bernadette, Veronique, and Bismarck. He is outspoken, approachable, and able to connect with just about anyone. Vernon brings a positive attitude and gives 100% every single day.
He’s eager to learn, never backs down from a challenge, and hopes to explore more of his home country, take a family cruise, and even try paragliding and parachuting someday.
